Bible Stories for Children (and Adults!)

Two years ago I trained as a Godly Play storyteller – Godly Play is a way of approaching Bible stories with children (and adults) that helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience through wonder and play. Based on Montessori principles and developed using a spiral curriculum, stories build upon stories as the children develop understanding.  I had a couple of opportunities to do  some stories with children from St. Oliver Plunkett’s School last year, but during the Covid-19 lockdown from March I decided to take the plunge and make some videos to make contact with children and parents.

I managed to produce five in total – these videos are available below for anyone who has children or grandchildren – you might even enjoy them yourself! They definitely provide a good place for a relaxed and fun discussion between parents/grandparents and children around faith, God, Bible, stories and life.
